IPL 2023: Yuvraj Singh Unhappy With Rinku Singh and Mandeep Singh

Delhi Capitals beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets to register their first win of the IPL 2023 season. Delhi Capitals struck three wickets in the first powerplay. The pitch offered consistent spin throughout the innings. Axar Patel bowled extremely well giving just 13 runs off 3 overs and taking 2 vital wickets.

Mandeep Singh and Rinku Singh were dismissed by Axar. These dismissals did not please former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. The partnership between Mandeep and Rinku could’ve avoided the batting collapse. Rinku Singh got out while playing a sweep and Mandeep was bowled.

Yuvraj Singh mentioned that cutting out the risk is the best possible way to tackle such situations, no matter how high your confidence is. Rinku Singh is the main man to rescue KKR from such situations after his heroics against Gujarat Titans.

Yuvraj said that both Mandeep and Rinku could’ve gone for the ODI approach and avoided any risky shots that ends up in a wicket. Jason Roy was the top scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders scoring 43 off 39 deliveries. Kolkata did not let Delhi win the game with ease. The game went down to the wire with 6 needed off the final over.

The no-ball in the final over ended KKRs hopes of winning the low-scoring battle. Litton Das missed crucial chances of stumping. The game could’ve gone either way if he grabbed those chances. Yuvraj Singh took to social media to express his grief, he tweeted mentioning Rinku and Mandeep.

Delhi Capitals struggled to chase 128, and Axar and Lalit held their nerves to finish the game for Delhi. Warner is top-scored for Delhi Capitals. The Captain scored 57 off 41 deliveries to help DC clinch the first win of the season.
