CSK Vs MI

Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings in the most awaited battle to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 14th April 2024. Both teams would be high on confidence after their respective last matches.

CSK registered an emphatic 7-wicket win over KKR at home while MI thumped RCB by 7 wickets. Both teams have won 5 titles each in IPL history and would be looking for a thrilling contest.

Both teams have top-quality players who can change the course of the game with their abilities.

Here we look at the 3 player battles to look out for in CSK vs MI IPL match 29 of IPL 2024:

  1. Rohit Sharma vs Deepak Chahar

Rohit Sharma looked in sublime touch against RCB with Ishan Kishan. He put the bad deliveries away for boundaries making life tough for bowlers. On the other hand, Deepak Chahar did not feature in XI.

Rohit would look to provide a flying start in the first six overs that would put pressure on the CSK team. Deepak Chahar dismissed Rohit Sharma thrice in 9 innings. It will be an interesting battle in the first six overs which might decide the fate of the match and help their team register victory.

  1. Jasprit Bumrah vs Ruturaj Gaikwad

Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the show in the previous match with the new ball taking the wicket of Virat Kohli. He looked sharp and picked 5 wickets that stalled the progress for RCB.

On the other hand, Gaikwad returned to form with a well complied 67 that helped CSK register a comfortable win over KKR. Bumrah will be a major threat to Gaikwad in the first six overs. The conditions would help seamers initially as Bumrah would look to do early damage with the new ball and put the CSK team under immense pressure.

  1. Ravindra Jadeja vs Suryakumar Yadav

Ravindra Jadeja had a good outing in the previous match picking 3 wickets putting brakes on KKR’s batting. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav showed his class with a brilliant 52 in quick time that led MI to a comfortable win over RCB.

Jadeja dismissed Suryakumar Yadav in the 2023 edition and would be looking to do the same. It will be an interesting battle during middle overs which might decide the fate of the encounter.
