IPL 2024: Hardik Pandya All Set To Achieve A Milestone In The Next Match For Mumbai Indians

Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to mark a significant milestone as he prepares to play his 100th match for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the upcoming clash against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2024. Returning to the franchise where his journey began after a successful stint with the Gujarat Titans, Pandya will don the iconic Blue and Gold jersey for the 100th time.

His association with MI from 2015 to 2021 saw him play a pivotal role in their championship victories in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. Following his tenure with MI, Pandya moved to the Gujarat Titans from 2022 to 2023, leading them to a title in their inaugural season and finishing as runners-up the next.

Notably, Pandya will become only the seventh player to achieve the feat of 100 caps for MI, joining the likes of Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Despite being named captain for MI after being traded in a cash-only deal ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, Pandya has faced challenges, with the team losing four out of seven matches under his leadership.

On a personal level, Pandya’s performance this season has been below expectations, with 141 runs scored at an average of 23.50 and a strike rate of 146.88, along with four wickets taken.
