Delhi Capitals eventually won their match against Rajasthan Royals by 20 runs at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi on 7th May 2024. DC Co-owner Parth Jindal explained the reasons for his reactions after Sanju Samson’s controversial catch by Shai Hope at the boundary that changed the momentum and match in favour of Delhi Capitals.

Sanju Samson was batting like a dream before Shai Hope took a controversial catch at the boundary. The third umpire took 1 minute before giving it out. After that, Rajasthan Royals collapsed losing eventually by 20 runs.

“Was lovely interacting with Manoj and Sanju – was incredible to witness his power hitting at the Kotla – he got us all extremely worried and hence the animated reaction when he was out! Had the pleasure of congratulating him as well.

Great win by our boys!” Pa “Goughy (Michael Gough) is a very good friend of mine. So I am going to defend him (chuckles). Maybe he could have given himself another angle, just to double-check. Because it was so, so close. Those decisions and those moments make a huge difference. So maybe he could have given himself a little bit more time,” Collingwood told Star Sports. Parth Jindal said in a social media post on Wednesday.

After the match, Parth Jindal and Samson greeted each other. It was an intense clash before Delhi Co-owner and owner shook hands with RR captain Manoj Badale.
