Kartik Tyagi made his debut for GT as a replacement for Josh Little in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against CSK on Friday, May 10 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In 2020, Tyagi, then 23 years old, had his first IPL appearance for RR against Ml at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
In 19 games, Tyagi has taken 15 wickets with an economy rate of 9.98. Besides RR, he also represented SRH before joining GT. Regarding the Titans, they’re currently at the bottom of the standings, having earned 8 points and a net run rate of -1.320 after winning 4 out of 11 matches.

Meanwhile, the Super Kings have bolstered their batting lineup by bringing in Rachin Ravindra. The New Zealand player made a strong start to his IPL journey with two impressive innings but faced some struggles mid-tournament. He takes the place of fast bowler Richard Gleeson.
Ravindra has scored 133 runs in 7 matches this season, averaging 19 with a strike rate of 164.2, including a top score of 46. Currently, CSK sits fourth in the standings, having accumulated 12 points and a net run rate of +0.700 after winning 6 out of 11 matches. A victory against GT would elevate them to third place on the points table.
