Kolkata Knight Riders lifted their 3rd title of IPL with a resounding 8-wicket win in the finals against SRH played at Chepauk, Chennai on 26th May 2024. It was a great performance by the KKR side right from the word go as they bundled SRH for 113.

Despite losing Sunil Narine dismissed early, Venkatesh Iyer and Gurbaz showed intent to keep the pressure on the SRH bowlers. They chased down the target in 10.3 overs. It was a sensational performance by the KKR side right from the word go. They finished 1st on the points table with 20 points.

KKR lost only three matches this season against CSK, Punjab Kings, and Rajasthan Royals, they looked quite confident winning matches with ease. KKR thrashed SRH by 8 wickets in the first qualifier to make it into the finals directly.

The 10 teams provided some great entertainment with lovely performances that stood out for the audiences this season.

Punjab Kings successfully chased down 262 against Kolkata Knight Riders, the highest run chase in the T20 format.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings witnessed a total of 42 sixes, the highest in a T20 match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad recorded the highest score in IPL history with 287 for 3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Bengaluru.

SRH earlier broke the record of posting 277 for 3 against Mumbai Indians at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

The Lucknow Super Giants recorded the highest successful run chase of Chepauk of 211 against CSK.

Marcus Stoinis achieved the record of the highest individual score in a chase. He made 124 not out against Chennai Super Kings.

RCB equalled the record of the highest score by a team chasing. They scored 262 for 7 against Sunrisers Hyderabad chasing down 288.

Sunrisers Hyderabad versus RCB saw the highest aggregate in the T20 match. A total of 549 runs were made during that match.

Sunrisers Hyderabad posted the highest score in the first six overs in T20 format. They smashed 125 for 0 against Delhi Capitals.

Jake Fraser McGurk hit the quickest fifty off IPL 2024 from 15 deliveries.

Punjab Kings broke the record for most sixes in an innings against KKR with 24. They went past SRH’s 22 sixes against Delhi Capitals.

Mohit Sharma produced the most expensive spell of IPL history with 0 for 73 against Delhi Capitals.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad saw the highest number of sixes in IPL history.

Reece Topley registered the most expensive spell by a foreign bowler with 1 for 68 in 4 overs against SRH.

Ayush Badoni and Arshad Khan shared the highest 8th-wicket partnership in IPL history. They put on 73 against Delhi Capitals.

Yuzvendra Chahal became the first bowler in IPL history to pick 200 wickets.

Trent Boult became the only bowler in IPL history to grab the most wickets in the first over in IPL history.

Virat Kohli topped with most catches in IPL history surpassing Suresh Raina. Kohli has 112 catches to his name.

The Indian Premier League 2024 saw a record-breaking 41 times 200 plus scores surpassing 37 in 2023.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders posted 200-plus scores 6 times each in IPL 2024.

The IPL 2024 saw a total of a record 14 centuries as compared to 12 in 2023.

The Indian Premier League saw a record of 1260 sixes being hit as compared to 1124 being hit in IPL 2023.

Sunrisers Hyderabad broke the record for most sixes in the entire season. They hit a total of 178 sixes with RCB second with 165.
