IPL 2024: RCB vs MI, Match 25 – 3 Player Battles To Look Out For
IPL 2024

Mumbai Indians will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a highly anticipated contest to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 11th April 2024. MI is coming off with 29 29-run win over Delhi Capitals at the same venue.

On the other hand, RCB would look to return to winning ways as they lost their previous match with Rajasthan Royals. Both teams are struggling in the points table and would be looking to climb up the points table by winning this match.

Both teams have quality players who can change the course of the game with their abilities.

Here we look at the 3 player battles to look out for in match 25 between RCB and MI of IPL 2024:

  1. Jasprit Bumrah vs Virat Kohli

Jasprit Bumrah looked in great touch during the previous match against Delhi Capitals. With the other MI bowlers going for runs, Bumrah picked 2 wickets giving away just 22 runs in his 4 overs that helped to stop Delhi Capitals from going close to the target.

On the other hand, Kohli looked in sublime touch remaining unbeaten on 113 against RR that helped RCB to 183 for 3. RCB fans would be hoping that Kohli should continue his sensational form.

MI captain Hardik Pandya might give the new ball to Bumrah against Kohli. It will be an interesting battle between the best two players for their respective franchises. Bumrah has dismissed Kohli four times in the IPL, but the former RCB captain made a total of 140 runs

  1. Mohammed Siraj vs Rohit Sharma

Mohammed Siraj has looked out of colour so far in this year’s IPL. He picked one wicket dismissing Sanju Samson, but it was too late for RCB. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma showed intent right from word go putting enough pressure on DC bowlers in the first six overs.

Rohit made quickfire 49 which laid a strong foundation for MI to post a massive total. Siraj will be eager to prove his worth with a new ball and dismiss Rohit which would help RCB restrict MI from laying a strong foundation.

  1. Glenn Maxwell vs Piyush Chawla

Glenn Maxwell came down at number 3 after an excellent opening partnership between du Plessis and Kohli. He was dismissed cheaply which led to RCB not posting a massive total.

On the other hand, Piyush Chawla did not have a great outing in the previous match against Delhi Capitals. Maxwell has great memories of this venue and would be looking to prove his worth with a match-winning knock for RCB against the veteran leg spinner.

Piyush Chawla has dismissed Maxwell thrice in IPL history. It will be an interesting battle in the middle overs as Maxwell would look to put the disappointment away.
