IPL 2024: [WATCH]- MS Dhoni Hits A Massive 101 Meters Six Off Yash Thakur In The LSG vs CSK Match

MS Dhoni once again displayed his batting prowess in the IPL 2024 match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Ekana Stadium. The former skipper hit a massive six in the final over, covering a distance of 101 meters, as captured in a viral video on social media.

The shot came off right-arm seamer Yash Thakur’s delivery, where Dhoni swiftly capitalized on a length ball, sending it wide over long-on. This marked his second six of the innings, following another hit against Mohsin Khan in the 19th over with an innovative shot.

In the last over, Thakur conceded two boundaries along with the six, totaling 19 runs. Dhoni, who had previously smashed three sixes in his four-ball 20 against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, remained unbeaten at 28 off 9 deliveries against LSG.

MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja form an undefeated partnership of 35 runs, propelling CSK to a total of 176

The ex-CSK skipper’s quickfire innings of 28 runs from 9 balls propelled the defending champions to a total of 176-6 in their allotted 20 overs. LSG captain KL Rahul won the toss and opted to field first.

Mohsin Khan made an impressive start by dismissing Rachin Ravindra without scoring, while Yash Thakur continued the momentum by removing the in-form Ruturaj Gaikwad for 17. However, the Super Kings found themselves in trouble at 90-5 during one phase of the match.

The partnership of 51 runs between Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali, along with a subsequent 35-run collaboration between Jadeja and MS Dhoni, propelled the Yellow Army to a competitive score. Krunal Pandya emerged as the standout bowler for LSG, claiming figures of 3-0-16-2.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face off against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 23rd.
