IPL 2024: [WATCH]- Preity Zinta’s Reaction To MS Dhoni’s Golden Duck Goes Viral

In the IPL 2024 match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Punjab Kings, held on Sunday (May 5) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, MS Dhoni was in action for CSK.

Dhoni entered the game at No. 9 but was dismissed for a golden duck by Harshal Patel’s yorker, which shattered his stumps. Harshal’s dismissal of Dhoni in the 19th over stunned fans.

However, when the camera turned to Preity Zinta, the owner of Punjab Kings, she was captured celebrating Dhoni’s wicket enthusiastically. The video of her animated reaction to the former India and CSK captain’s dismissal is now circulating widely on the internet.

Although Dhoni experienced his initial duck of the IPL 2024 season, CSK still reached a respectable total of 167 runs, losing nine wickets in 20 overs, which ultimately proved sufficient.

Ravindra Jadeja was the leading scorer for CSK against the Punjab Kings, scoring 43 runs from 26 deliveries, while captain Ruturaj Gaikwad contributed 31 runs. Harshal and Rahul Chahar each claimed three wickets for the Punjab Kings.

In response to the target of 168 runs, PBKS could only muster 139 runs, losing nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. After excelling with the bat, Jadeja showcased his bowling prowess by dismissing three batsmen for 20 runs in four overs.

Additionally, uncapped Indian pacers Tushar Deshpande and Simarjeet Singh each took two wickets. With a convincing 28-run victory over PBKS in Dharamsala on Sunday, CSK has now ascended to the third position in the IPL 2024 points table and is strongly positioned to secure one of the four playoff spots.

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) will face off against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 9th at the HPCA Stadium.
