Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) pacer Trent Boult was observed mimicking Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling style recently. With a few days until their next match, the Royals players were seen having fun during training.
A video shared by the team on their social media platforms showcased Boult’s accurate portrayal of Jadeja’s bowling action. The New Zealand cricketer demonstrated a similar loading technique to Jadeja’s and delivered a side-arm ball, a tactic often employed by Jadeja to restrict batters’ movement.

Trent Boult has been exceptional in this season’s lucrative league, guiding Rajasthan’s bowling attack with distinction. The southpaw speedster has taken 11 wickets in as many matches, maintaining an economy rate of 8.28. His standout performance was against the Mumbai Indians, where he recorded his best figures of 3/22.
Ravindra Jadeja to play a key part for CSK
Experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will return to the field as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clash with the Gujarat Titans (GT) on Friday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This match holds significant importance for both teams, as they aim to secure a spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs.
Jadeja has performed credibly in this season’s lucrative league, contributing with both bat and ball. The southpaw has amassed 202 runs in 11 matches, averaging 50.50 with a strike rate of 135.57.
The Saurashtra native has also taken eight wickets at an impressive economy rate of 7.26, particularly commendable given the high-scoring nature of this year’s tournament. Jadeja’s role will be crucial as CSK aims to overcome the Titans in a rematch of last year’s final.
