Virat Kohli delighted his supporters with an exceptional flick shot off Mitchell Starc in the ongoing IPL 2024 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday (March 29).

Starc fetched the highest-ever bid in the tournament, going for INR 24.75 crore to KKR at the IPL 2024 auction. However, the left-arm pacer remained wicketless and conceded 53 runs in KKR’s opening game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In contrast, Kohli scored a brisk 77 runs off 49 balls, with two sixes and 11 boundaries, guiding RCB to a four-wicket victory over Punjab Kings for their first win of the IPL season. Earlier, the right-handed batsman had made 21 runs off 20 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in his return to competitive cricket after skipping the five-match Test series against England.
