LSG Vs PBKS

Lucknow Super Giants will host Punjab Kings in their first home game at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow on 30th March 2024. It promises to be an exciting encounter as LSG will look to register their first tournament win after a 20-run loss to Rajasthan Royals.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings will also look to come back after a narrow 4-wicket loss to RCB away from home.  It is an exciting battle as both teams look to register a win and move up the points table.

Both teams have quality players that can change the course of the game and help their team register victories.

Here we look at the 3 player battles between LSG and PBKS in match number 11 of IPL 2024:

  1. KL Rahul vs Kagiso Rabada

KL Rahul struggled in the first match against Rajasthan Royals. With wickets falling on the other end, the LSG captain looked edgy but made 58 off 44 balls. It was a disappointing performance by KL Rahul as he could not cross the line for LSG.

On the other hand, Rabada looked impressive with his bowling picking 2 wickets against RCB.  The South African star pace bowler will look to hit the wicket hard and pick his wicket to put pressure back on Lucknow Super Giants’ batting.

  1. Liam Livingstone vs Ravi Bishnoi

Liam Livingstone looked impressive in the previous match against RCB but fell to Joseph on a short ball. On the other hand, Ravi Bishnoi struggled with a disappointing bowling effort against Rajasthan Royals.

Livingstone struggles against leg spinners. Ravi Bishnoi would be a key for LSG in the middle overs. The England batter has fallen to leg spinners seven times in 18 innings. Livingstone smashed 23 runs.

It will be an interesting battle to see if Livingstone could hit big shots or if Bishnoi would pick his wicket that put pressure back on PBKS’s batting lineup.

  1. Nicolas Pooran vs Rahul Chahar

Nicolas Pooran gave a superb knock in the first match against Rajasthan Royals. He showed his class by hitting big shots but could not take LSG to win the match. On the other hand, Rahul Chahar bowled one over giving away 16 runs and was not given a bowl.

Pooran could be against Rahul Chahar in the middle overs depending on the situation. Chahar has dismissed Pooran six times, but the West Indies batter has a strike rate of 164.02.

The battle between Pooran and Rahul Chahar could decide the game’s fate in the middle overs which could assist the spin bowlers.
