Mumbai Indians (MI) star batter Rohit Sharma gave a witty reply to a young fan’s innocent question ahead of the IPL 2025 Qualifier 2. MI are set to take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday, June 1, in Ahmedabad. When the young fan asked how one could get him out, Rohit responded with his trademark humour.
“Sir appko kaise out karne ka? (Sir how to get you out?),” the young kid asked.
“Nahi wo nahi ho sakta (No that cannot happen),” Rohit replied.

MI ended the league stage in fourth place on the points table, securing a playoff spot. They then defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator on May 30, earning their place in the second qualifier.

Rohit Sharma stepped up with the bat on a crucial occasion, smashing a match-winning half-century against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator. Batting first, Mumbai Indians (MI) posted a massive total of 228/5 in their 20 overs.
The right-handed opener scored 81 runs off 50 balls, hitting nine boundaries and four sixes, with an impressive strike rate of 162. Mumbai Indians successfully defended the total, winning the match by 20 runs. Rohit was named ‘Player of the Match’ for his outstanding performance.
Though Rohit had a slow start this season, he has found good form as the tournament progressed. He has accumulated 410 runs in 14 matches at an average of 31.35 and a strike rate of 150.18, including four half-centuries.
As Mumbai Indians prepare to face Punjab Kings in the second qualifier, they will rely on Rohit to repeat his match-winning form. A strong start from him will be vital. The winner of this clash will advance to the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday, June 3.
