Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Rohit Sharma added another milestone to his illustrious career by setting a new record during the IPL 2025 Eliminator against Gujarat Titans (GT). The match is taking place in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, on Friday, May 30. The right-handed batsman struck two sixes to become only the second player in the T20 league’s history to hit 300 sixes.
At 37 years old, Rohit also became the first Indian to reach this landmark. He reached the milestone with a powerful six off Rashid Khan in the ninth over. The leg spinner delivered a slower ball outside off stump, and Rohit skillfully crouched down to lift the ball high over square leg for a maximum. You can watch the video here:

Dropped Catches Help Rohit Sharma Shine in IPL 2025 Eliminator Against GT

The second missed catch was more costly for the Titans, as it was an easy caught-behind opportunity for Kusal Mendis. He also put together an 84-run opening partnership with fellow opener Jonny Bairstow.
