IPL 2026: Arjun Tendulkar, Mohammed Shami Join LSG As Nitish Rana Moves To DC
Arjun Tendulkar

Lucknow Super Giants have secured Arjun Tendulkar and Mohammed Shami in all-cash deals, while Nitish Rana has departed Rajasthan Royals to join Delhi Capitals on Saturday, November 15. Tendulkar, who has been with Mumbai Indians since 2021 and debuted in 2023, featured in five matches for the franchise, taking three wickets. He will move to Lucknow for ₹30 lakh.

Shami’s transfer to LSG had been hinted at by the franchise on Friday. The pacer endured a tough season with Sunrisers Hyderabad, playing only nine games and picking up six wickets as he battled rhythm and fitness issues following a long injury break. SRH had originally signed him for ₹10 crore.

“Bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar will represent Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) following a successful transfer from Mumbai Indians. Arjun will move to LSG at his existing fee of INR 30 Lakh,” read the statement from IPL.

“Veteran fast bowler Mohd Shami will turn out for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after a successful trade from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Shami, the second-most expensive acquisition for SRH ahead of the IPL 2025 season at INR 10 crore, will move to LSG at his existing fee,” read the statement.

MI successfully executed a trade to reacquire Mayank Markande from KKR for ₹30 lakh.

Rana Moves To DC, Ferreira Traded To RR

In another major acquisition, Delhi secured Nitish Rana from Rajasthan Royals. He joins DC for ₹4.2 crore after scoring 217 runs in 11 games for RR in the 2025 season. A two-time IPL champion with KKR and MI, Rana is expected to strengthen Delhi’s middle order.

Ferreira, meanwhile, returns to Rajasthan Royals for ₹1 crore after his fee was revised from the ₹75 lakh Delhi spent on him at the IPL 2025 auction. This marks RR’s third significant move on retention deadline day, following the blockbuster trades that sent Sanju Samson to CSK in exchange for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.
