Yesterday, the Sunrisers Hyderabad was at their very first as they humbled Kings XI Punjab at Dubai. Before the match, there were question marks regarding the batting line-up of SRH. In their previous encounter against MI, they failed to score 200 even on the small Sharjah Cricket stadium.

After the conclusion of the match, Virender Sehwag took a dig at SRH batsmen and stated that they aren’t capable of posting a total above 200. Sehwag was proved right as SRH could only score 174 against Mumbai Indians.

However come to the next match, David Warner and Johnny Bairstow were all charged up as they played their natural game. The duo recorded a 160 runs opening stand and silenced their critics in style. After their allotted 20 over SRH posted a total of 202 much to the delight of their fans.

Once SRH put on a terrific batting display their orange army, mocked Sehwag for his walkover statement that he game in their previous match.

“Mujhe lagta hain ki Hyderabad ko walkover dena chahiye, kyuni ki humare (SRH) batting mein dum nahi hain ki hum 200-250 run banaye. Hum toh 150 wale khilari hain, aur Mumbai ne agar peheli batting karli toh Mumbai banane wale hain 200 plus. (Hyderabad should give a walkover as they don’t have the batting ability to score 200-250. They are only capable to score 150 runs, and if Mumbai bat first, they will put up a 200-plus total for sure)”, Sehwag had said while speaking to Gaurav Kapoor.
