The Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently taking on Kolkata Knight Riders at Sharjah cricket stadium in IPL 2020. Batting first RCB batsmen at one point was struggling to time on the ball on a slow pitch. Then entered Ab de Villiers at the crease and like always he just made batting look easy.
It seemed the batting genius from South Africa was batting on a different pitch altogether. He was on song from the first ball to the last ball of his innings. De Villiers didn’t spare any KKR bowler as he electrified the Sharjah cricket stadium.
Ab de Villiers Takes RCB To 194
Meanwhile, after his blazing knock, Twitter went nuts in admiration of the batting masterclass from De Villiers. At one stage it looked RCB will settle for a total of around 170 but ABD had other ideas in mind. The legendary batsman scored 73 from just 33 deliveries in which he executed 5 boundaries and 6 gigantic sixes that landed on the main road outside the stadium.
After getting out for a duck in the last match, De Villiers looked determined to score a big score. With Virat Kohli struggling at the other hand he decided to be the dominant partner and take the centre stage. The duo registered yet another partnership 100 run partnership in IPL where De Villiers made a contribution of 73 runs.

Social media was at a buzz after the breath-taking knock from the RCB legend. Former cricketers such as Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan were in awe of Ab’s innings whereas Harsha Bhogle tweeted that only the word ‘Genuis’ is suited for a player of the quality of DeVilliers.
