IPL2024: [WATCH] Shane Watson Launches His New Book With RCB Stars

Former Australian cricket star Shane Watson recently shared his new book, ‘The Winner’s Mindset,’ with some cricketing greats including Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Faf du Plessis. The presentation took place on April 1st, where Kohli, a renowned Indian cricketer, received a copy. Additionally, Watson also gave copies to his fellow Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates, Maxwell and du Plessis.

Faf du Plessis, who captains the team, commended Watson for compiling his knowledge into a single book, aiming to aid aspiring cricketers in understanding the mental aspect of the game. He urged young players to delve into the book, highlighting Watson’s ability to explain complex concepts in a straightforward manner. By sharing his insights, Watson hopes to inspire the next generation of cricketers to develop a winning mindset and excel both on and off the field.

“Yeah, I’ve read this book. Very lucky to be one of the first to have read it and also experience all the knowledge that’s in there has gone in here. So, I think it’s an amazing book and I know cricketers in India will absolutely get so much information from this. It’s extremely vital. I think the mental game of cricket doesn’t get talked about a lot and I think Watto has found a very simple way to explain it to Sportsman. It’s a must read, go get it. It’s an amazing book,” said Du Plessis in a video shared by Watson.

RCB’s Rollercoaster Start in IPL 2024: Mixed Results and Challenges Ahead

RCB hasn’t had a great start in the IPL this year. They’ve only won one out of three games so far. They lost their first game to Chennai Super Kings by six wickets. But then, they bounced back and won their second game against Punjab Kings by four wickets. RCB lost their last game against KKR. Even though Virat Kohli has been playing really well, scoring 181 runs in three innings, RCB couldn’t keep up the winning streak. Their captain, Faf du Plessis, led the team to a loss against KKR by seven wickets. Their next match is against Lucknow Super Giants on April 2nd at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. They’re hoping to win this one and get back on track.
