Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have had a horrible ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL). They have managed to win just 4 games out of 14 played in IPL 2022. However , Former Indian allrounder Irfan Pathan believes that there were some positives for CSK in this IPL season.
CSK finished their campaign at 9th position in the points table. They never got their team combination right in this IPL season. Injury to Deepak Chahar also spoiled the plans of Chennai Super Kings. Ravindra Jadeja too left the CSK captaincy mid season. Nothing went right for CSK both on and off the field.
Irfan Pathan posted a video on Instagram where he mentioned the five positives for CSK in this IPL season. Irfan called Mukesh Choudhary, Devon Conway, Maheesh Theekshana, Simarjeet Singh and Matheesha Pathirana as the top 5 positives for Chennai which would help them in upcoming IPL seasons.

Mukesh Choudhary impressed everyone with his left arm bowling in powerplay. He gave crucial breakthroughs to CSK in Powerplay. Pathirana with his slingy action deceived the opposing batsman and can be the X factor for CSK. While Devon Conway was consistent in this IPL season in top order.
‘It won’t be nice to CSK fans to not play at Chepauk ‘ : MS Dhoni confirms his participation for next IPL season
The biggest news for CSK fans would be that MS Dhoni would play the next season of Indian Premier League for CSK. He is also expected to lead the CSK team, while Jadeja would continue to play as a player. Dhoni wants to finish his IPL career in front of the fans at Chepauk.
“Definitely, I will play next season. It won’t be nice to CSK fans to not play at Chepauk, I have got a lot of love. It will be like a thank you to all. Whether it will be my last year or not, it’s too early to decide,” MS Dhoni said after he was asked about his IPL future at the toss against Rajasthan Royals.
