The T20 World Cup 2022 is going to be played in Australia in the months of October- November this year. It’s going to be a mega-event with lots of expectations from the Indian T20I team. Irfan Pathan named his best T20I playing XI of the Indian team for the T20 WC in Australia.

Irfan Pathan took various factors into account like the current form and experience of players while selecting this team. Former Indian allrounder picked KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma as the openers of his team. Virat Kohli was selected as the No.3 batsman in the team.

Irfan Pathan while picking the top order said, In Australia, you need strong starts as the ball swings and seams. You require a player who has experience. Kohli may not have performed well so far but in Australia, he has scored a lot of runs.”

Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya would take the No.4 and No.5 batting position respectively due to their range against Spinners in middle overs. Dinesh Karthik and Ravindra Jadeja have been picked as the finishers in the team. Dinesh Karthik would also do the role of wicketkeeper.
