After completing his mandatory quarantine period and three COVID-19 Tests, AB de Villiers finally it the nets. The South African lead the charge in the second practice session of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The entire RCB squad will continue to train at the ICC academy in Dubai ahead of the IPL 2020 season.

All eyes were of ABD and he looked at his best in his first proper net session as he sweated it out during day 2 of RCB’s pre-season camp. The legendary batsman was also seen having a chat with teammate Gurkeerat Singh Mann after he had a hit against the spinners in the nets.

He said, “It was really good, very enjoyable to be out there. The lights were a bit blurry and the wicket was a bit sticky, so it was a great challenge. It was like how I’d like my first net to be after a long time.”

“Basics in place, I had to watch the ball carefully. I hit some nice shots at the end which was also enjoyable. You need intensity when you practice, and that’s what I do,” said De Villiers in an episode of ‘Bold Diaries’ uploaded by RCB on all social media platforms.

Meanwhile, other RCB players such as Parthiv Patel and Shivam Dube were also put through the paces as they also trained hard preparing for the upcoming season. The popular RCB side will again be chasing their first IPL trophy as they will be lead by Virat Kohli.

Several reports suggest that RCB might play defending champions Mumbai Indians in the inaugural match of IPL 2020.
