The Indian team is currently taking on Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on 10th October, Saturday. While Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been out of the game due to injury, Ishan Kishan opened the innings for India alongside Shikhar Dhawan and the latter has seen yet another failure after being put into bat.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz trapped him in front of the stumps in the fifth over of the match that too for a mere 3 runs. It is also noteworthy that, Shikhar Dhawan has been going through a lean patch for quite some time now. He even failed to reach double figures in the series as well, which is also his worst return in an ODI series so far.

However, the Indian fans expressed their disappointment on Twitter after yet another poor show from Shikhar Dhawan:

As far as the game is concerned, after the dismissal of Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan managed to steady the ship. Although it is a dead rubber as the hosts have already sealed the deal, Team India would love to end the ODI series on a high note as well. And, the captain KL Rahul has also shared their plans during the toss as well.

KL Rahul said: “Injuries are not great and we’ve had a few of them. But it also gives opportunities to new guys. Two changes obviously: Rohit and Deepak are injured. So Ishan and Kuldeep come in. We’ve always had the quality as a team. Right now it’s important for us to get better as individuals and get runs in different conditions. Haven’t played one-day cricket for a long, long time. Focus was on T20 cricket. We always want to win and give our best for the country. But sometimes it doesn’t happen. There’s never an international game that doesn’t have pressure. It’s a new wicket – different conditions. Important for us to assess, be brave and put the pressure back on them. That’s what Indian cricket has done over the years.”
