Jimmy Neesham produced a stunning one-handed catch for Pretoria Capitals against Durban Super Giants in the SA T20 match played at SuperSport Park, Centurion on 5 February 2023.

Pretoria Capitals captain Theunis de Bruyn won the toss and decided to field first. It was an explosive start by Durban Super Giants openers Quinton de Kock and Ben McDermott in six overs. Super Giants captain de Kock fell for a quickfire 43 off 20 balls. Durban openers put on 76 runs for the opening wicket laying a strong foundation.

Heinrich Klassen showed intent in putting pressure on Capitals bowlers. McDermott and David Willey fell in quick succession to leave Super Giants in trouble. Klassen looked in sublime touch putting pressure and keeping the momentum completing his fifty off 23 balls.

Jimmy Neesham took a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Wiaan Mulder at backward point in the 16th over. It left the commentators stunned with this amazing catch and the fielders hugged him.

Mulder was dismissed for just 9 off 9 deliveries. Klassen continued his aggressive touch keeping the momentum going. Mulder and Klassen added 52 runs for the 4th wicket. Klassen maintained his touch along with Matthew Breetezke putting Capital bowlers under pressure.

The wicketkeeper batter completed his maiden T20 century off 43 balls. It was an amazing knock by Klassen remained not out on 104 from 44 deliveries to help Durban Super Giants post massive total of 254 for 4.

Durban Super Giants need to win this match to stay alive for the race in the semi-finals. Klassen and Breetezke put on unbeaten 84 runs for the 5th wicket. Klassen showed his range of strokes with 10 fours and 6 sixes while Breetezke made quickfire 46 off 21 deliveries with 5 fours and 3 sixes that helped Super Giants post a massive total.

Klassen came into the crease in the 7th over and put the Capitals bowler under pressure. Migeal Pretorius took 2 wickets giving away 62 runs in his 4 overs. Joshua Little and Neesham took 1 wicket each.

Durban Super Giants registered a resounding 103 runs win in their final league match. They won with a bonus point and ended with 19 points. To qualify for the top 4 stages, Pretoria Capitals need to Paarl Royals on February 7 by a big margin.
