Karun Nair to lead Board President’s XI against West Indies

Karun Nair is all set to lead the Board Presidents XI squad for the two-day practice game against touring West Indies side. The match will be played from September 29 at Vadodara.

The BCCI announced the squad today which comprised of all domestic talents. Mayank Agarwal, Ankit Bane, Prithvi Shaw and others made it to the side as the top order looks so threatening.

IPL stars Basil Thampi and Avesh Khan are expected to lead the pace attack with Indian under-19 star Ishan Porel. Jalaj Saxena and Sourabh Kumar will provide assistance with their spin.

Karun Nair, who led the “A” side in the England tour did not get an opportunity to feature in the senior playing XI. He is expected to prove his mettle on the middle in this match and earn a ticket to the test squad.

West Indies will play three tests, five ODI”S and three T20″s as a part of this all-format tour. The side who is already in tatters will try to formulate their playing XI in each format of the game before the world cup 2019
