India will take on England in the fifth and final Test of the series at the Kennington Oval in London, starting Thursday, July 31. England currently lead the series 2-1, but after the drawn Test in Manchester, India still have an opportunity to level the contest. Â Although the visitors have created several chances throughout the series, they have struggled to make the most of them, resulting in their current deficit.
Despite this, India will draw confidence from their resilient second-innings batting display in Manchester, which helped them salvage a draw, a result considered a psychological boost. The demanding nature of the four previous Tests has visibly affected players from both sides. England will be without their influential captain Ben Stokes, who is sidelined due to a shoulder injury.
Speedster Jofra Archer has also been left out. On the Indian side, Jasprit Bumrah is unlikely to play in the final Test, and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant had earlier been ruled out with a foot fracture.
