Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and veteran cricketer Virat Kohli shared a touching moment at a special event on Tuesday, July 8. The occasion was the star-studded YWC Gala, hosted at Grosvenor House, Park Lane in London, in support of the YouWeCan Foundation — a charitable initiative launched by Yuvraj Singh.
The gala aimed to raise funds for cancer treatment and care for women and children across India. Virat Kohli, who recently retired from Test cricket and is not part of the current India-England Test series, also attended the event. He and Yuvraj were seen embracing warmly and sharing a cheerful exchange during the dinner.

Meanwhile, several members of the Indian men’s cricket team attended the glamorous event ahead of their third Test against England, set to begin on Thursday, July 10, at Lord’s in London. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was also in attendance, joined by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara.
The YWC Gala, hosted by Yuvraj Singh, saw the presence of several well-known figures, including sports presenter Gaurav Kapur and former international cricketers Kevin Pietersen, Brian Lara, Chris Gayle, and Ravi Shastri. Singer Kanika Kapoor was also among the distinguished guests.

At the event, Virat Kohli spoke about his close relationship with Yuvraj Singh and also thanked Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan for guiding him during the early years of his cricketing journey. The 36-year-old shared his sentiments, as reported by the Times of India:
“We shared a very good bond both on and off the field. I met him for the first time during a North Zone tournament in Bangalore. When I started playing for India, him, bhajju pa (Harbhajan Singh) and Zaheer Khan took me under their wings.”
“Really helped me grow as a player, made me comfortable in the dressing room. Lot of fun times off the field and made me aware of the lifestyle of getting to the top. These are the bonds I would cherish for the rest of my life.”
