Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Lockie Ferguson impressed in his first game of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He delivered a perfect yorker to knock off Manish Pandey to put Kolkata on top in Abu Dhabi.

Chasing a moderate total of 164 runs, Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow put Hyderabad into the stride. They played some gorgeous looking shots to add 50 runs for the first wicket before Kolkata Knight Riders pulled the brakes.

The fast bowler from New Zealand drew the first blood removing the dangerous looking Kane Williamson out before removing Piryam Garg cheaply who was promoted in the batting order. Varun Chakravarthy also chipped in with useful contributions removing the set Jonny Bairstow to have Sunrisers Hyderabad at 70 for three.
