Manan Sharma the Delhi and India under-19 Allrounder has announced his retirement from all forms of the game. Notably, Manan has decided to part ways with cricket at the age of 30. It was revealed that Manan will now move to California which is a state in the Western United States.
Meanwhile, Manan Sharma has shared the dressing room with guys like Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir, Ishant Sharma & Rishabh Pant when he played for the Delhi team. Also, he was one of the members of India’s Under 19 squad which played the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand.
Notably, Manan Sharma is the son of former Indian batsman Ajay Sharma who was handed a life ban in 2000 for a match-fixing scandal. Fans on Twitter drew his comparison with Unmukt Chand who recently announced his retirement from playing cricket in India on 13th August 2021. Notably, he was the captain of the team which won the 2012 Under-19 World Cup. Just like Manan Sharam, Chand also decided to shift to the USA, it was also revealed that he will play league cricket in the USA.
Not surprised. The bar has been raised high and even if you perform consistently, the competition is too high. This switch helps them in cricket career and life beyond. In India, what is there for a 35 year old retired cricketer who has no other skills?

Unmukt has taken a wise decision, exploring new avenues, it will help more cricketers struggling to take same path…bold decision by @UnmuktChand9 will help many of his fellow cricketers 🙂

USA will have a good team for 2028 😜

If Unmukt can put together a team in USA, it can very well compete with the best. It will be better than many cricket playing nations

I think this is got to do with Unmukt Chand's decision. He is moving to US too. America is importing cricketers in wholesale it seems.
