After Sanju Samson’s onslaught in Sharjah in the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the social media was flooded with praise for Samson. People went on to question why the Batsmen from Kerela isn’t a regular feature in the Indian side. His innings was of such quality that it also caught the attention of former India opener Gautam Gambhir.

The onslaught took place in the 1st innings of the match after Dhoni asked the Steve Smith-led side to bat first. Rajasthan’s new opening pair didn’t fair up well but it was Sanju Samson who came in and took charge of the entire innings. He targeted the Chennai spinners Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja as he ended up scoring a quickfire 74.

As soon as Gautam Gambhir tweeted about Sanju Samson being the Best young batsman in India. Majority people agreed to the fact that Sanju Samson is actually one of the very few bright talents we have in this country.

“Sanju Samson is not just the best wicketkeeper batsmen in India but the best young batsman in India! Anyone up for debate?” Gautam Gambhir Tweeted After Samson’s onslaught. 

The tweet received mixed opinion with veteran cricketer Manoj Tiwary disagreeing to Gautam Gambhir. The Bengal player went on to mention that Kolkata Knight Riders’ Shubman Gill is the best young batsmen in India.

Well with the kind of players both Sanju Samson and Shubman Gill are, it is very difficult to differentiate between the two and judge who is the better of the two. Both players are on the selector’s radar constantly and will go on to make it big for the national side very soon.

The ongoing IPL season followed by another in the next eight months will shape up the career of these two brilliant cricketers. If Gill and Samson can fare well, they might on the squad for ICC T20 World Cup in India next year.
