A passionate sports lover, Vihang Sarnaik admitted that it is their responsibility to stand beside the ‘malis’. They are the backbone of all the matches and tournaments that take place in Mumbai. Sarnaik said he provided food packets to almost 40-45 groundsmen who work in South and Central Mumbai.

“These groundsmen are the backbone and the most integral part of any cricket maidan in Mumbai. Most of these malis live on the grounds itself as their income is generated from matches and tournaments organised here. It’s important we stand by them in these tough times,” Sarnaik said.
