Indian skipper Virat Kohli will be back in blues against Ireland at Dublin tonight. Kohli missed the historic test against Afghanistan due to a neck injury. It is to be noted that he also missed his maiden stint with Surrey due to the same.
While the injury was completely unexpected, he reached along with his team to the British land a few days ago. A die-hard fan of Virat Kohli by the name Siddharth flew all the way from Chennai to see his idol. Though he wasn”t able to see him physically, he clicked pictures with his cutout placed in the ground.
Siddharth came to the ground where the county match is played between Surrey and Somerset. According to the contract signed by Virat with Surrey, he was about to play six matches (3 first class and three royal one-day internationals). The fan expected that Virat will mark his presence at the Woodbridge road. However, Virat couldn”t make it as he is on International assignment.
Speaking on the same, “He brings that intensity to the team always gives 100 per cent. Him singing up for surrey shows his commitment and how well he needs to contribute to his country. He showed the world how aggression can win you games. I had a privilege to bowl few balls to him in the nets in the home series against England in 2016, ” said an animated Siddharth to the Surrey Live.
Sid is currently at London to pursue a management course at London school of economics. He expressed his desire to meet the skipper during the England series.
Virat is not only an idol for his on-field activities but his fitness regime also. He always keeps the youth motivated by posting videos giving tips to stay fit. Needless to say that he has made an impact on the lives of several youngsters.
