Cricket Australia has appointed Michael Hussey and Ryan Harris as specialist consultants for the Australian side ahead of the T20I season.

It is to be noted that the board is very keen on improving the quality of cricket for some time now. Even for the Ashes, former skippers Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting assisted Justin Langer to bring about a change in all the departments of the game. In a similar move, the board has now roped in Hussey and Harris.

This move would also mean that the preparations are getting intense for the Australian side for the World T20 at home next year. The Kangaroos will be engaged in a three-match T20I affair against Srilanka and Pakistan starting October 27th.

The hosts will also engage in a two-match Test affair against the Pakistani side. This series officially commences the ICC World Test Championship for the Pakistani side.

The return of Warner and Smith

The return of Warner and Smith in the T20I squad will be an interesting thing to notice in the  series. However, the management decided to drop Stoinis in the squad, who wasn”t creating an impact in the middle order.
