Rishabh Pant scored 155 runs in just two games as India clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1. His performance was a good one behind the stumps as well. Pant is carrying on his good form both with bat and gloves since the Australia tour. Pant slammed a brilliant 78 off just 62 balls to help India post a string total of 329 runs on the board in the series-decider which the hosts won by 7 runs.
Meanwhile, former England skipper Michael Vaughan has hailed the young Indian wicketkeeper batsmen for the way he has performed in the series. Lauding Pant’s flamboyant style of batting, Vaughan called the India wicket-keeper batsman a ‘freak’. He also advised the youngsters to not try and copy the way the left-hander goes about his business as his style might not work for everyone.
“I will be honest with you. I think he is just a freak. He just does things his way. I would not suggest many to try and play the way Rishabh Pant does, because he is so unique,” Vaughan said on Cricbuzz.
Vaughan further said that Pant has a relaxed mind whenever he walks out to bat and he knows his role exactly in the side. Vaughan further said that Pant does not allow the pressure to get to him which is a great aspect of his overall game.

Rishabh Pant Looks Like He Is Playing In The Park: Michael Vaughan
“One thing I would say to the youngsters watching Rishabh Pant is just his mindset. He looks so relaxed. When he goes out, and the pressure was on, he just looks like he is playing in the park. And that’s such a refreshing attitude and it’s very difficult to have that attitude,” he added.
The former England skipper further said that he would not advise youngsters to copy Rishabh Pant’s batting technique but can copy his mindset.
“I would tell youngsters that it is difficult to copy his technique, but you can certainly copy his mindset,” Vaughan concluded.
