The lockdown across the world has given a lot of time for the people to work out on various factors in the home. While a majority of them passing the time with online interviews, a few of them are churning out new lists by taking unique factors into consideration. The latest to join the bandwagon is Michael Vaughan, who come up with Bald XI of all-time.

As for the openers, Michael Vaughan went with Graham Gooch and Herschelle Gibbs, who have served their respective countries for a long time now. The duo has been simply exceptional during their cricketing times.

Gooch is one of the most successful batsmen in Tests for England, while on the other hand, Gibbs played 90 Tests for the Proteas, scoring 6167 runs. At number 3, he again went with the player from South Africa in the name of Hashim Amla, who is the owner of quite a few extra-ordinary batting charts.

Matt Prior to don the wicket-keeping gloves:

He was followed by Darren Lehmann of Australia at number four. Lehmann has not only had incredible moments with the Australian team as a player but also had fantastic times with the team as head coach. However, he also had a tough moment when he worked as head coach during the tour of South Africa.

The No.5 slot in the ‘Bald XI’ was allotted to South Africa-born Jonathan Trott, who represented England in international cricket. Right-handed Trott was the ICC and ECB Cricketer of the Year in 2011.

Following Trott, Vaughan went with another England cricketer, Brian Close. Close was the youngest player to don the Test jersey for England in 1949. He led England to victory as captain in six out of seven Test matches. Without any further considerations, he chose Matt Prior as the wicket-keeper of the team.

As far as the fast bowling department is considered, Michael Vaughan chose Doug Bollinger and Nathan Lyon in the squad, along with Pakistan’s Rana Naved. To finish things off, he had two names in his mind in the name of Jack Leach and Chris Martin. So far, leach has done well for England while Chris Martin retired with a massive name to him.
