Chasing a mammoth total of 196 runs, Azharuddeen put on an absolute show at the iconic Wankhede stadium. Azharuddeen smashed the joint third-fastest by an Indian player in the shortest format of the game. On the back of Azharuddeen’s unbeaten 137 runs Kerala defeated hosts Mumbai by 8 wickets. This was Kerala’s second consecutive win under the captaincy of Sanju Samson in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2021.
