The young fast bowler from Hyderabad Mohammed Siraj had an impressive India debut during the recently-concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. After a successful start, Siraj now has set his eyes on the upcoming England series and is looking forward to bowling alongside veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma, who returns after an injury lay-off.
Meanwhile, after grinding it out in the first-class cricket for several years, Siraj earned himself a place in the Test side and impressed immediately. He emerged as the leading wicket-taker for Team India in the absence of several first-choice pacers with 13 wickets including a five-wicket haul at the Gabba.

“It doesn’t matter whether I am playing at home or away, my performances and winning matches for my team have always mattered to me the most. I am all prepared for the England series,” Mohammed Siraj told TOI.
“I have bowled alongside Bumrah, Shami bhai, and Shardul. They are part of the series (vs England). I am so excited now to bowl alongside Ishant Sharma. It is going to be a huge learning curve for me,” Siraj added.
Meanwhile, the conditions will be different in India which will test the pedigree of the fast bowlers at the highest level. Mohammed Siraj said he is not bothered about those and want to emulate the excellent work he has learnt from head coach Ravi Shastri and senior players during the series Down Under.
