India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj is to return to action in the Ranji Trophy for Hyderabad against Vidarbha from January 30 in Nagpur. After being excluded from India’s list for the Champions Trophy and the ODI series against England, Hyderabad Cricket Association revealed that Siraj could join the team. This development is believed to be an advantage for Hyderabad in the tournament.
The Hyderabad team is in the sixth position of the Elite Group B in the tournament with nine points in five games. The team will hope to enhance its rank within the group when they play against second-ranked Himachal Pradesh on 23rd January.
Hyderabad will need Siraj to get into the right zone and try to improve the team’s position in the Ranji Trophy now going on. He is going to be very important to the team because of his experience and skills; they will be instrumental in achieving targets.
Mohammed Siraj dropped from Champions Trophy squad

Mohammed Siraj was left out of India’s squad for the one-day matches in England and the Champions Trophy. Even though Siraj is one of the best pacers in India, he has not been selected for the T20I squad for the West Indies series, while left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has been selected for the squad. Siraj was excluded, while his ODI performance from the years 2022 to 2024 was so impressive with 71 wickets for the average of 22.97.
The Indian team’s pace bowling will now comprise Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, provided he is fit, Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya, and Harshit Rana, who will be a part of the England ODI series.
Siraj has recently played in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he took as many as 20 wickets at an average of 31.15; hence, he will be an asset for any side. He has recently been omitted from the Indian squad and people will be waiting to see how he will do in domestic cricket.
