Veteran Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was once again seen boarding a boat at the Gateway of India. On Monday, January 20, the former captain was spotted at the iconic Mumbai jetty. A video shared on social media shows Kohli walking down the jetty steps and boarding a boat.

Dressed casually in a white T-shirt and jeans, the star batter was accompanied by his personal security team. You can watch the video here:

This isn’t the first instance of the former Indian captain being seen at Mumbai’s Gateway of India. Virat Kohli has frequently been spotted at the location recently, traveling to and from his Alibaug residence.

He was also seen alongside his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, during a recent trip to their Alibaug home. Kohli is set to return to action for India in the upcoming home ODI series against England, starting February 6.

Focus on Virat Kohli Ahead of England ODI Series

Virat Kohli, included in Delhi’s squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy match, will miss the game due to neck stiffness. The veteran batter has faced criticism following his performance in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Kohli scored only 190 runs across five Tests in the series.

While he started strong with an unbeaten century in the first Test in Perth, he managed just 90 runs in the subsequent four matches. With Kohli unavailable for Delhi’s Ranji Trophy match, his next appearance will be in the ODI series against England, where the spotlight will also be on other senior Indian players.

Despite the format change, Kohli will be under pressure to deliver strong performances. For the Men in Blue, it’s vital that the 36-year-old finds form, as this series serves as his final preparation before the 2025 Champions Trophy. Performing well in the three-match ODI series will be key for Kohli to regain confidence ahead of the major ICC event.
