The comeback of MS Dhoni which was scheduled for 29th March against Mumbai in the opening game of the 13th session of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium has been postponed to 15th April, due to the pandemic COVID-19.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni who hadn’t played any competitive cricket since India’s exit in the semi-finals of the cricket world cup against New Zealand was practising very hard to make a comeback to the Indian team and to stand a chance to get a chance to play for India in the T20 World Cup.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was accompanied by Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, Kedar Jadhav veteran Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla, and Karn Sharma, the young recruits of CSK were also seen in the practice session and were also seen taking tips from the experienced Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

However, the camp was suspended due to coronavirus outbreak and the IPL was postponed till 15th April which was decided by the IPL Governing Council who met for a meeting in Mumbai on Friday. The suspension of the Super Kings’ training camp and the IPL is disappointing news for the fans but captain MS Dhoni tried to cheer the fans with a beautiful gesture.

Before leaving for his home town Ranchi, Mahendra Singh Dhoni interacted with the ground staff, officials and the fans at the Chepauk. He also signed autographs and posed for photos before leaving the stadium. Super Kings later posted the heartwarming video on Twitter.

Cricket and other sporting events have taken a big toll due to the outbreak of Corona Virus as half the series have been cancelled and the other games are been played in closed doors.
