MS Dhoni’s Old Tweet Resurfaces After Ravindra Jadeja’s Brilliance On Field

Last night probably Ravindra Jadeja was the nightmare for Rajasthan Royal at Wankhede Stadium. Jadeja was more like a sprinter who covered every corner of the park and took four catches for Chennai Super Kings during their match against RR. One of the best fielders is an asset for any team irrespective of the format. Yesterday, Jadeja awe-inspired everyone with his fielding and also celebrated his fourth catch in a natty way.

After his fierce fielding on the boundary, an eight-year-old tweet MS Dhoni was doing rounds on the internet. On April 9, 2013, Dhoni had tweeted that Jadeja did not run to take catches, but the ball found its way to Jadeja.

“Sir Jadeja doesn’t run to take the catch but the ball finds him and lands on his hand,” MS Dhoni had tweeted.

MS Dhoni & Co go up to the 2nd spot

In a very one-sided match, MS Dhoni-led CSK thumped Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals by 45 runs in Mumbai in the 12th match of the 14th edition of the Vivo Indian Premier League. The inaugural-edition finalists, CSK and RR were poles apart in the game, one swamp swiftly and the other one remained away from the shore.

Batting first, CSK posted a total of 188/9, with Faf du Plessis’ brisk 33 from just 17 deliveries as the highest score. For the Royals, Chetan Sakariya picked up three scalps including that of MS Dhoni’s wicket, and Chris Morris removed two batters. The Chennai bowlers did exceedingly well to defend the score on a Wankhede wicket.

Had started their journey on a negative note, now CSK have managed to put themselves back on track. Yesterday’s was their second consecutive victory.

In The 13th edition of the IPL, for the first time, CSK failed to reach the playoffs. After a series of defeats, the side was ravaged. This year, after their initial defeat, a lot of questions were asked if the Yellow Brigade would make it into the playoffs this year, but as they have changed their gear, the fans are optimistic about seeing the three-time champions in the playoffs.
