Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Mukesh Choudhary and Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mohsin Khan’s participation in the upcoming 2023 Indian Premier League season is in doubt. The tournament kicks off on March 31 with the Chennai Super Kings taking on the Gujarat Titans.

Mukesh Choudhary and Mohsin Khan managed to impress the pundits in the last Indian Premier League season with their cricketing acumen. Mukesh took 16 wickets in 13 games, while the Lucknow bowler picked up 14 wickets in nine matches. Their participation in this season is uncertain due to injuries, reported Cricbuzz. Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed to Cricbuzz.

“We are waiting on Mukesh but we do not have much hope. He was one of our bowling mainstays last year. It will be unfortunate if he misses out.”

Mukesh Choudhary is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru undergoing rehab for his back injury. When asked about his participation, he said to Cricbuzz, “I’m good and hope to get well soon.”

Mohsin Khan resumes practice with Lucknow Super Giants

Pacer Mohsin Khan has joined the Lucknow Super Giants camp ahead of the 2023 Indian Premier League season. He has also begun training with the franchise but is doubtful to start the tournament. The left-arm pacer might take pacer later in the league for the Lucknow Super Giants.

The KL Rahul-led team finished third on the points table last Indian Premier League season. They won nine out of the fourteen games to qualify for the knockouts. However, the Lucknow Super Giants lost to the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator to bow out of the tournament. This season, they will be keen to advance further and clinch the title. The Lucknow Super Giants will kick off their season against Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 1 in a home game at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
