Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs in their encounter at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. This was the third win of CSK in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. It was a must win game for CSK to be alive in this competition.

Focus point of the match was the return of MS Dhoni as CSK captain. MS Dhoni is famous for being cool in pressure situations. But in the last over of the game, even Captain Cool Dhoni couldn’t control his anger when Mukesh Choudhary didn’t bowl as per the field set. This incident caught the attention of so many cricket fans.

Mukesh Choudhary bowled a leg side wide to Pooran. MS Dhoni wasn’t happy with it as majority of fielders were present at off side for Pooran. Dhoni wanted Mukesh to bowl wide of off stump. MSD was seen pointing towards his head to indicate to Mukesh that he should use his brain while bowling.

In the post match presentation , MS Dhoni told why he was upset with Mukesh. “I always told my bowlers, you may get hit for four sixes in an over, but the two balls that you save ultimately in a high-scoring game, those are the two deliveries that will help you win the game,” Dhoni said during the post-match presentation

Ruturaj Gaikwad shines for CSK in their 3rd win of IPL 2022

Ruturaj Gaikwad played the biggest role in this win for CSK. With the help of his brilliant 99 runs knock, CSK was able to set up a total of more than 200 runs. Gaikwad played  class shots against the express pace of Umran Malik. Devon Conway too complemented Gaikwad perfectly by scoring 85* runs.

“Personally I do not like to believe in form, irrespective of what you scored in the last game you have to start from zero. I believe in starting from zero every game and that is what has helped. I like to play more pace as it brings the best out of me.” said Ruturaj Gaikwad at post match presentation after grabbing man of the match award.
