Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Corbin Bosch has been served a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for allegedly violating his Pakistan Super League (PSL) contract. The South African cricketer is now caught in a tough situation, torn between commitments to two different leagues.
Bosch was initially drafted by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL Player Draft for the 10th season on January 13, 2025. However, Mumbai Indians recently named him as a replacement for Lizaad Williams, who was ruled out due to injury.
Reports suggest that Corbin Bosch is set to prioritize playing in the IPL with Mumbai Indians over his PSL contract. The scheduling conflict arises as the PSL is set to take place between April and May, overlapping with the IPL, which runs from March 22 to May 25.
In an official press release, the PCB confirmed that Bosch has been issued a legal notice through his agent and has been asked to explain his withdrawal from his contractual obligations.
Mumbai Indians will kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against Chennai Super Kings on March 23. Bosch, who was previously a reserve player for Rajasthan Royals, is yet to make his IPL debut.

Interestingly, Corbin Bosch has a link to the Mumbai Indians, as he has already been a part of the MI franchise, having played for MI Cape Town in the recent SA20 season. While representing MI Cape Town, the 30-year-old all-rounder picked up 11 wickets in seven innings at an economy rate of 8.68.
He played a key role in their SA20 2024-25 title-winning campaign. Speaking about his career, Bosch has featured in just one Test and two ODIs for South Africa. He was included in South Africa’s 2025 Champions Trophy squad but did not get a game.
In T20 cricket, he has played 86 matches, taking 59 wickets at an average of 32.66 and an economy rate of 8.38. With the bat, he has accumulated 663 runs, including two half-centuries. It will be interesting to see what role he takes on for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL season.
