Mushfiqur Rahim has apologized to all his fans and his teammate Nasum Ahmed after he exhibited anger on the cricket field. Rahim who is known to be a feisty cricketer almost slapped his teammate Nasum during a match in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020. The Bangladesh wicket-keeper who is currently leading Dhaka the domestic T20 competition almost hit his teammate after he took an important catch.
In the playoffs match at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Rahim was involved in yet another controversy. The experienced cricketer shocked everyone when he almost knocked out Nasum Ahmed. When the match was nicely poised a catch was skied near Nasum who was fielding at short fine leg.
However, skipper Rahim ran and decided to take the catch himself after which he was so upset from his teammate that he almost hit him. Rahim threatened the youngster after there was almost a collision between the two white taking the catch. Rahim was immensely criticised on social media for his bizarre actions during the match.
Meanwhile, after the match was done and dusted and Rahim’s team won the match he realised his mistake. On his official account on Instagram Rahim posted a photo with Nasum in good spirits and confessed to everyone for his unacceptable behaviour.
Mushfiqur Rahim Regrets Losing His Cool
“Assalamualaikum to all, First of all officially I would like to apologize to all my fans and spectators regarding the incident that happened yesterday during the match”.
“I have already apologized after the game to my fellow team mate Nasum. Secondly I seek forgiveness from Almighty. I always remember I am a human being above all and the gesture that I have shown was not acceptable at all. In shaa Allah in near future I promise it won’t be repeated on the ground or outside the ground….JazakAllah khair”, Mushfiqur Rahim wrote in the caption.
