The World Cup has been in controversies before getting started, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi has released a press statement stating Pakistan will hold to participate in the upcoming cricket world cup 2023 if India does not travel to Pakistan for the Asia cup 2023.

Najam Sethi has been determined on his decision and openly threatening to boycott the upcoming edition of the Cricket ODI World Cup that has to be played from October 2023.

Najam is seen to be clearly stubborn in his decision to withdraw participation and further take the issue to Asian Cricket Council, and International Cricket Council.

He further claims if all the teams are coming to Pakistan for Asia cup 2023, without raising an issue of security then the Indian side would not raise any objections the same.

There will be a meeting with the International Cricket Council board of executives and other participants to make the final call. Najam Sethi will be speaking about the concern for Pakistan.

Najam Sethi makes astonishing remarks, we are bounded to follow what the government says if the government allows us to go and play in India, we don’t have any objections rather go. But if the government has concerns we will withdraw from sending our team to World Cup 2023 taking place in India.

Last year England toured Pakistan and several incidents of security concerns have been raised as well. Veteran England Batsman Ben Stokes expressed his fear before the start of the Pakistan tour and couldn’t feel assured of security.

It would be a really challenging situation for both Indian and Pakistani cricket fans if either of the teams withdraws, as we will not be able to witness the epic rivalry between both sides.
Now the decision on the matter will be taken by the official cricket bodies, along with the government to reach a solution mutually accepted by both nations.
