Biratnagar Kings

The Biratnagar Kings are having a great time! Sandeep Lamichhane’s superb bowling brought them a nail-biting victory over Janakpur Bolts by just 9 runs in the Nepal Premier League. This is their third win in a row, and they are on cloud nine!

The Kings scored a not-so-high total of 135 (all out), but the Lamichhane’s side was never behind. Janakpur Bolts found it tough to reach the 136-run target, and eventually, they ended with a score of 126/9 in the full 20 overs. Lamichhane’s leadership is motivating, and the team is gaining positive energy. Will they manage to maintain this and rush their way to the peak?

Lamichhane took four wickets for Biratnagar Kings:

Captain Sandeep Lamichhane held the ball and amazed everyone with his great performance. He was the one who took his team to a thrilling victory by 9 runs over Janakpur Bolts in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League. This was the third win in a row for the Kings, which is a clear indication that they are the best team this season. The venue for this match was the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Whereas Biratnagar, the team that lost the toss, first went to bat and got a decent amount of 135 runs in their 20 overs.
Shubham Ranjane was the main scorer who hit 37 runs off only 29 balls with attacking strokes. He was well supported by Bashir Ahmad, who made 36 runs, while Lokesh Bam scored a useful 28. Martin Guptill and George Munsey made contributions as well with their scores of 13 and 10 respectively which helped to give their team a competitive total.

The real suspense started during Janakpur’s chase. Despite fighting 41 by Loftie Eaton, the Bolts could score only 126 runs. Captain Lamichhane became a hero with an astonishing four-wicket haul that crushed Janakpur’s batting order. Surya Ramang added two wickets to the total, while Marchant de Lange and Shubham Ranjane took one each. This nail-biting victory lifts Biratnagar Kings to the top of the points table with six points and they have become the strongest contenders this season.
