Oman International Jatinder Singh’s unbeaten 65 off 20 ball powered Qurum Thunders to a nine wicket victory over Khuwair Warriors in the ongoing Oman D10 tournament. With this defeat, the Warriors are yet to win a game in this tournament.

Opting to bat first at the Al Ameerat Cricket Stadium, Khuwair didn’t get going at all. Although they accumulated 17 runs in the first over but lost Zeeshan Siddique in the last ball of the over.

The next few batters didn’t get going as Qurum Thunders built on the pressure until Sean Nowak walked out to bat in the fourth over. He launched some big hits in the next couple of overs to propel Khuwair Warriors to 108/8 in their quota of 10 overs. He scored 48 off 20 deliveries, including five boundaries and four sixes.

In reply, Qurum Thunders came all guns blazing to chase down the total in just 6.3 overs. Jatinder Singh went berserk, hitting everything at his disposal. The Thunders brought their 50 in just three over with the 33-year-old doing the bulk of the scoring.

Jatinder Singh brought his half-century off just 13 balls in the next over, which is the second fastest in the history of T10 cricket. Chris Gayle, Mohammad Waseem and Mohammad Shahzad hold the record for the fastest 50 in T10 cricket, scoring it in 12 balls while Rahmanullah Gurbaz achieved the landmark in 14 deliveries.

The Qurum Thunders captain remained unbeaten on 65 runs from just 20 deliveries which included eight towering sixes and two boundaries at a strike rate of 325 to take his side through with 21 balls to spare.

With this victory, Qurum are now second in the points table with eight points from five matches after Ruwi Rangers, who are ahead in terms of net run rate.
