A major boost for enthusiastic cricket fans in the United States and Oman as their national teams have attained ODI status after their successful outings at World Cricket League Division 2.

The United States of America defeated Hong Kong comfortably by 84 runs whereas Oman was successful in all the four games they played in the tournament. This would mean that both the teams will join Nepal, UAE and Scotland to play a tally of 36 matches which would ultimately decide the teams on the qualification race for World Cup 2023.

The other two teams which will finish in the top four positions alongside  Oman and USA will also join for the league with the teams mentioned above. The news has certainly put a smile on the faces of cricket fans all over the world and the number of teams in the ICC ODI rankings is now augmented to 18. The coaching staff and the skippers of both the teams couldn”t just stop sharing their excitement on social media.

Oman, who tried their best to qualify for the league stage of 2016 T20 World cup can finally be content with their recent performances. This news is something to rejoice for the entire side who is trying to create a little impact in the International arena.
