PAK vs NZ: [WATCH] Tim Seifert’s Amazing Aerial Shot Attempt Goes Viral
Tim Siefert

Tim Seifert’s innings of 52 runs from 33 balls proved futile as New Zealand fell short, getting dismissed for 169 while pursuing Pakistan’s target of 179 runs.

During the fifth and final T20I against Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, April 27, New Zealand batsman Tim Seifert showcased his acrobatic skills while batting. Pakistan accumulated a score of 178/5 in their allotted 20 overs, buoyed by Babar Azam’s 69-run innings, along with significant contributions from Fakhar Zaman (43) and Usman Mir (31), thereby setting a target of 179 for New Zealand to pursue.

Tim Seifert, the opener, initiated their run-chase with a strong performance against the host’s bowling attack. Yet, spectators and fans were treated to an unconventional shot attempt by Tim Seifert during the sixth over of the second innings.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir delivered a wide ball, prompting Seifert to lunge towards it in an attempt to make contact with his bat, but he missed. The Pakistan Cricket Board shared a video of the incident on its social media handle, X (formerly Twitter), which quickly gained traction across various platforms.

Tim Seifert scored 52 runs from 33 balls with seven fours and two sixes, striking at 157.58

Tim Seifert showcased his skills with a score of 52 from 33 balls, which included seven fours and two sixes, at a strike rate of 157.58. However, despite his efforts, New Zealand fell short, getting dismissed for 169 in 19.2 overs.

Seifert’s dismissal unsettled the visitors’ batting lineup, with the middle-order failing to stabilize the innings when needed the most. Josh Clarkson put up a valiant effort with an unbeaten 38 off 26 balls, but New Zealand fell 10 runs shy of the 179-run target.

Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Shaheen Afridi, who claimed four wickets for 30 runs, while Usman Mir took two wickets.

The five-match T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand concluded in a draw, with both teams winning two matches each, resulting in them sharing the series trophy.
