Pakistan Cricket team are scheduled to play two away tours of South Africa and Zimbabwe for which the board has announced the sides. Pakistan are scheduled to play three ODIs and four T20Is against South Africa from April 2 to April 16. Following the tour of South Africa, Pakistan will travel to neighboring Zimbabwe for two Tests and three T20Is. Pakistan recently played a Test series against South Africa which they won. It was a par of the World Test Championship. 

Pakistan have recalled a few veterans to the ODI and T20I squads. The all-round duo of Mohammad Hafeez and Shadab Khan have returned to the T20I squad. Sharjeel Khan, who last played for Pakistan in 2016, also returns to the side. The veteran duo of Wahab Riaz and Imad Wasim has been dropped for the one-dayers, apart from Abid Ali, Haris Sohail, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Musa, Rohail Nazir and Zafar Gohar.

Pakistan have made two changes to the Test squad that won the series against South Africa at home last month. Leg-spinner Yasir Shah and Kamran Ghulam have missed out while Zahid Mahmood and Shahnawaz Dhani have been added to the squad. Both Dhani and Mahmood are yet to make their debuts in Tests.

Key spinner Yasir Shah has been left out of Pakistan’s Test squad against Zimbabwe. The legspinner is out with a knee injury and will require six more weeks to recover. Meanwhile, Shahnawaz Dahani has been handed a maiden call-up to the Test side.The South Africa series starts will be played from April 2 to 16 after which they will travel to Bulawayo on 17 April for three T20Is and two Tests against Zimbabwe. The side is scheduled to return on 12 May. Babar Azam will lead the team in all three formats. After his recent Test series win against Zimbabwe at home, he will be looking to repeat the feat as well.
